Prince George, the firstborn son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, has just been christened into the Church of England.
The Prince wore a replica of the gown worn by 60 previous royal babies, custom-made by the Queen’s couturier, Angela Kelly. (As you can imagine, the original has probably taken quite a beating after 60 babies spit up on it.) The very long train (see below) definitely gives Kate’s wedding gown a run for its money, so it’s a good thing he doesn't walk yet.
Royal mum Kate Middleton decided to wear a matching cream outfit, which according to Richard Palmer, the royal correspondent at the Daily Express in London, is Alexander McQueen. She paired the frock with a matching Jane Taylor hat. It seems safe to say Kate will be avoiding chocolate sauce, coffee, and spaghetti today.
Aunt Pippa Middleton also opted for a pale-colored look, wearing a cream wool trapeze coat over a blush lace dress from London boutique Suzannah, with a matching pill box hat by British milliner Edwina Ibbotson, according to Grazia.
